Spicy Cheesy Beans on Toast

This recipe for Spicy Cheesy Beans on Toast, with an Asian style crispy bottom fried egg is quick, simple and delicious. Well, who doesn’t love beans on toast, especially when its made using our Baker’s Choice Seeded Multigrain bread.

Instructions How to Make It

  • Melt butter in a pan.
  • Add the tin of beans to the pan, stir and simmer on a medium heat for 2-3 minutes.
  • Add the sriracha and honey and stir through, allowing to cook for a further 2 minutes.
  • Add your grated cheese and mix through until the cheese melts.
  • In a second pan, heat your oil for frying eggs on a high heat.
  • Add your eggs and let them fry until the base is crispy.
  • Remove your eggs when happy remove any excess oil.
  • Toast two slices of Baker’s Choice Seeded Multigrain Bread and butter as desired.
  • Spoon your beans over your toast before adding your crispy fried egg on top.
  • In your egg pan, melt a small amount of butter and mix with some sriracha over a gentle heat and drizzle over your eggs to finish.
  • Garnish with some chives (optional).

Ingredients

  • 2 x slices of Baker’s Choice Seeded Multigrain Bread lightly toasted
  • 1 x tin of Bachelors baked beans
  • 1 x knob of butter
  • 1 tbsp of sriracha
  • 1 tsp honey
  • 20 -30g of mature Irish cheddar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tbsp Vegetable oil for frying eggs
